85 percent of the population in Zimbabwe is unemployed. Inflation is estimated at 231 million percent and climbing daily. Five million facing mass starvation and the people are competing with monkeys for food in the bush. The two films (the 14 minute production is a scaled down version of the full-length documentary) considers from the perspective of the Catholic hierarchy and lay workers (the Catholic Church being the last functioning institution in the country working to serve the people) the situation facing the local population as they face a breakdown in healthcare, education and the consequent flight to South Africa with the xenophobia encountered there.
